Adjust the design per block

Picking a theme tidies up your whole page's look, but sometimes you want to "change just this one block." On Linby, you can override the design per block. Keep the overall theme while adjusting just a part. Free to use.

Adjust a block's design

   Tap the block you want to adjust to open it, and open the "Design" tab

   The options you can change on that block (color, corner radius, text size, and so on) are shown

   Change a value and it reflects in the preview on the spot

Changes here affect only that block. They don't affect other blocks or the whole page.

Per-view display options

Some views have their own toggles. For example, the "Stacked buttons" view of a link list lets you choose to show or hide icons, and to align text center or left. For images and image lists, "Tap to enlarge" lets you choose "Off" or "On" for whether tapping an image enlarges it. For an image, this option appears only when no link is set.

The options that appear vary by view and by the decoration you've chosen. For views with nothing to adjust, it shows "This view has no customizable options."

Add decorations (Basic)

On the Basic plan, you can decorate blocks. Depending on the decoration, you choose it in one of two places.

• From the previews on the "Design" tab — heading decorations (when the Text block uses the "Heading" view; 7, including underline, band, marker, and symbols), decorative dividers (15, including wavy, scalloped, and rows of stars), and decorative frames for body text, the Link block's button, the Link list's stacked buttons, images, image lists, linked image lists, cards, and card lists. Choose "None" (for dividers, "Line") to remove one
• As a view on the "View" tab — Body (labeled frame)

When a block has a decoration, the "Design" tab only shows the settings that affect that decoration.

The frames and views you can choose depend on the block. For details, see each block's article (Add text and headings, Separate your page with dividers, Show a single link with a Link block, Add an image or banner with a link, Line up work and products with Cards, and others).

Even on the Free and Lite plans, you can see how decorations marked 🔒 look in the previews. If you cancel the Basic plan, your public page shows the blocks without decorations. The decorations you chose are kept, so they come back when you return to Basic.

Note that cards, card lists, and linked image lists are Basic plan blocks themselves. They can't be added on the Free or Lite plans, and if you cancel Basic, the whole block stops showing on your public page.

Reset to your theme's look

Next to any overridden option, "Reset" appears. Pressing it returns that option to your theme's value. Options you haven't overridden follow the new theme when you change themes. "Reset all to match the theme" undoes tweaks like color, corner radius, and spacing; the decorations you've chosen stay.
