Separate your page with dividers

Linby's "Divider" block draws a line between blocks. Put one where the topic changes — between your intro and your links, or between your work and your news — and visitors can see where each section begins and ends. The plain line is free to use.

Add a divider

  1. 1
Choose "Divider" from "+ Add block" at the bottom of the page (how to add blocks). It's added right away
  2. 2
Drag it to where you want the break

A divider has no content to fill in. Change its color, thickness, and decorative style on the "Design" tab.

Change the line's color and thickness

When no decorative divider is chosen (it's set to "Line"), you can change "Border color" and "Border width" on the "Design" tab. If you leave them as they are, the line uses the same color and thickness as your theme's borders.

Choose a decorative divider (Basic)

On the Basic plan, you can choose a decorative divider under "Decorative divider" on the "Design" tab, looking at the previews. There are 15 in all. To go back to a plain line, choose "Line."

  • Different line shapes — Dotted line, Dashed line, Double line, Thick and thin lines, Short line (centered), Gradient line, Wavy line, Zigzag line, Polka-dot line, and Scalloped line
  • With symbols — Symbol in the middle, Symbol in the middle (dotted), Three symbols, Row of symbols, and Row of stars

For "Symbol in the middle," "Symbol in the middle (dotted)," "Three symbols," and "Row of symbols," you can choose the symbol under "Symbol" on the "Design" tab. "Row of stars" always uses stars.

Decorative divider lines are drawn in "Accent color" and symbols in "Accent text color," and you can change both on the "Design" tab. If a decorative divider is hard to see on a theme with pale colors, a darker color here makes it stand out.

Even on the Free and Lite plans, you can see how each one looks in the previews. Pressing a decorative divider marked 🔒 opens the Basic plan details. If you cancel the Basic plan, your public page shows a plain "Line" instead. The divider you chose is kept, so it comes back when you return to Basic.

Tips

  • Too many dividers make the breaks harder to notice. Use them only where the topic really changes
  • Placing one before or after a heading makes the start of a section clear. To decorate the heading itself, the Text block's heading decorations work too (Add text and headings)
  • To add space without a line, use the "Spacer" block
