Choose a theme and change the design

On Linby, picking a theme switches your whole page's colors and shapes. Your content and its order stay the same — only the look changes. There are 150+ themes, all free to use. You do the design work on the "Theme" tab.

Choose a theme and apply it

   Open the "Theme" tab and tap a theme in the Themes subtab

   A preview appears with your own content in it

   When you like it, press "Apply this theme" to reflect it across your page

If you'd rather not apply it right away and compare later, choose "Add to my themes." Added themes line up under My themes, and you can switch to applying one anytime. You can also save the same theme several times, such as different color variations.

Fine-tune colors and fonts

Themes look put-together as-is, but you can tune them further to your taste.

   Under My themes on the "Theme" tab, open "Edit" on the theme you want to adjust

   You can change the color scheme (background, text, accent, buttons, and so on), the heading and body fonts, text size, spacing, corner radius, and more

   Changes reflect in the preview on the spot

   Press "Apply" to reflect it on your public page

Your adjustments stay in your saved themes, so they aren't lost even if you try another theme.

Choose a font for the whole page

Separately from the color scheme, you can choose a font for the whole page. Choose it from the page-wide settings on the "Theme" tab, and it's kept even when you switch themes. Fonts are free on every plan.

Set a background image

You can lay a background image across the whole page.

   When there's a background image, you can adjust the content background's opacity to keep things readable

Background images are free on every plan too.

Set a background pattern

Instead of a background image, you can lay a patterned background (a background pattern) across the page. Linby draws background patterns in colors made from your theme's colors (background, text, and accent). If you change the theme's background color, the pattern's colors change with it.

Choose and apply a pattern

   On the "Theme" tab, open "Background pattern" under "Whole page"

   Tap a pattern to choose it. Use "Preview" to check it as it will look on your public page

   Press "Apply" to show it on your public page. To go back without applying, press "Discard"

To remove the pattern, choose "None" and apply it.

You can use either a background image or a background pattern, not both. Applying a pattern removes the background image you had set. With a pattern, you can still lower "Content background opacity" so the pattern shows through buttons and other backgrounds.

Available patterns

On the Free and Lite plans, you can still choose a Basic pattern (marked 🔒 Basic) and check how it looks in the preview. In that case the "Apply" button changes to "Use with Basic", and pressing it shows a guide to the Basic plan. If you switch from Basic to Free or Lite, Basic patterns stop showing on your public page. Your setting is kept, so it shows again when you return to Basic.

Random

"Random" is a pattern of soft, blurred circles (Basic plan). You can regenerate the combination of circle positions, sizes, and colors, and pick the layout you like.

   Tap "Random" in the list of background patterns. Six layout options appear, with the first one selected

   Press "Shuffle" to replace them with six new options

   Tap the option you like, then press "Apply"

The layout you choose looks the same in the preview and on your public page. However long your page gets, the same style of pattern continues to the bottom, and on a computer it extends into the margins on both sides of the page.
