Add an image or banner with a link

Adding a single photo, illustration, or banner changes your page's first impression. Linby's "Image" block shows one image large, and it's free to use. Feature a piece of work as the star, or put a link on a banner to send people to another page.

To line up several images together, use the separate "Image list" block (Show multiple images in a gallery).

Add a single image

   Choose "Image" from "+ Add block" at the bottom of the page (how to add blocks)

   Upload an image on the "Content" tab

   Adding short alt text describing the image helps with screen readers and when the image can't be shown

   Enter a URL in Link (optional) to make the image act as a button for that link

   Press "Save" to apply it to your public page

Add a link to make it a banner

The "Image" block can have one link per image. Put a shop or work-page URL on a banner image, and visitors move to that page on tap.

• An image with a link — tapping opens that URL. Good for banners or sending people to your work
• An image without a link — tapping enlarges it. Good for photos meant simply to be seen

Choose whether to add a link based on your purpose.

If you don't want an image without a link to enlarge, set "Tap to enlarge" to "Off" on the block's "Design" tab. Use this for decorative images and other cases where nothing should happen on tap.

Set the design

An image's corner radius and border can be adjusted on the block's "Design" tab. Separately from the page-wide theme, you can round the corners or add a border to just this image. To change the whole theme, see Choose a theme and change the design.

Add a decorative frame (Basic)

You can add a decorative frame to the image. Available on the Basic plan.

   Open the block and go to the "Design" tab

   Under "Decorative frame," pick the frame you want from the previews

   To remove the frame, choose "None"

The frames you can choose are Dashed frame, Double frame, Stitched, Corner brackets, Offset shadow, Washi tape, Polaroid, Postage stamp, and Circle crop (9 in all).

Even on the Free and Lite plans, you can see how each frame looks in the previews. Pressing a frame marked 🔒 opens the Basic plan details. If you cancel the Basic plan, your public page shows the block without the frame. The frame you chose is kept, so it comes back when you return to Basic.

Supported images and sizes

• Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF
• Size per image: up to 30MB
• Image blocks per page: up to 10 on the Free and Lite plans (no such cap on the Basic plan)

Most photos taken on your phone or images you've downloaded can be used as-is.

Once your images are in place, tidy up the whole look on Choose a theme and change the design.
