How to Add a Link in Your TikTok Bio (Even Under 1,000 Followers)
You want people to tap a link in your TikTok bio and go straight to your shop, your other socials, or your latest post. But when you try, TikTok might not show the option — or it lets you type a link that isn't even clickable.
Here's who can add a clickable link, the exact steps, and what to do if you're under 1,000 followers. At the end, we'll show how to add more than one link, so you're not stuck choosing just one.
Can you add a link to your TikTok bio?
TikTok only lets you add a clickable website link to your bio if either of these is true:
- You have a personal account with 1,000 or more followers, or
- You have a Business account — which can add a website link at any follower count.
Switching to a Business account is free and takes a moment, so you don't have to wait until you hit 1,000 followers.
How to add a link in your TikTok bio
Do this in the TikTok app on your phone — the option doesn't appear in a web browser.
- 1Tap Profile at the bottom right to open your profile.
- 2Tap Edit profile.
- 3Tap Website (if you don't see it, switch to a Business account first — see below).
- 4Type or paste your link.
- 5Save. The link becomes clickable on your profile right away.
What if you're under 1,000 followers?
You have two options:
- Switch to a Business account (free). In the app: Profile → menu (☰) → Settings and privacy → Account → Switch to Business Account. After switching, the Website field appears in Edit profile, and you can add a clickable link no matter how many followers you have.
- Add your link a different way. Even without the Website field, you can point people to a page that holds all your links (see the next section) and write that short URL in your bio text.
How to add more than one link
TikTok gives you only one website link. But you probably have more than one thing to share — your shop, your Instagram, your other content. Instead of picking one, put them all on a single link-in-bio page and use that as your TikTok link.
A link-in-bio page is one page, at a short URL like linby.me/@yourname, that lists all your links. One tap takes people to everything.
To set one up for free:
- 1Create a free account — under a minute with Google or email, no credit card.
- 2Set your URL (like linby.me/@yourname).
- 3Add your links: your shop, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, anything.
- 4Pick a theme so the page looks put-together, then publish.
- 5Put that one link (linby.me/@yourname) in your TikTok Website field.
Now your single TikTok link opens a page with everything, and you can update it any time without touching your bio again.
Which link should you put in your bio?
If you only ever share one destination, a direct link is fine. But most creators and sellers have several — and TikTok's one-link limit forces a choice every time you post something new. A link-in-bio page removes that choice: you share the same link always, and change what's behind it whenever you like.
